A guy I know who fished Tynemouth lake for carp told me he and his mates have seen some very big eels in the lake, apparently they come right to the edge at night, they reckon they are about 5-6lb. He asked me if I had any idea how they got there, nearly fell off the bench laughing, Davey have you got any idea how they got there.

Ha ha , I often wondered how they would have got on Alan.
Must be 20 years since some of those were re-homed!

don't think there is any carp in the lake, plenty of minnows and still some eels some quite large, the lake was dreged a few years a go no carp but the eels must have hiddin in the silt a lady with a young son caught one in a bamboo net while catching minnows and got the fright of her life, last year they had a problem with algea covering the lake and give it a good clean up always wondered how they got there haha. davy.

some nice big carp in the lake, been there for many years, best around 20lb now, and they look as they have been breeding as there are some small ones.
