With the seas forcast to be big on Tuesday, thinking about having a try on a beach for some early cod, any suggestions from tynemouth - creswell? Will be fishing from about 8pm.

beach

beach

was thinkin about it my self m8 a know blyth beach fished early last year up by the toilets failing that id try private beach or if u venture a little further hadston will throw fish if its massive.good look and keep us infored of your trip m8.

thinking about just trying localy down whitley beach, normaly fishes well in september so hopefully something will show. I'm sure il change my mind 50 times in the next couple of days.

Whitley Bay would probably be my first choice for a local beach, might still be a little early but as they say nothing ventured......

Failing that, either end of Tynemouth (Slatey or the Bathing Pool skier) depending which way the swells are running could be worth a chuck.

Gary :)

Tides arnt the best though, high waters 1 wednesday morning so you wont be able to fish low water during darkness.

I'd still rather spend my time fishing for those spotties than nowt else in this weather and sea state.

When the frosts come and its freezing cold, that'll be the time for me to change me rigs over with bigger hooks and blast those big yellowtail and crab bait out off the pier or into the kelp for the big one (am dam sure its my turn to get a goodun' this winter!:D)

Ooh am itching for winter to come now...:o :p

Anyone seen the sea today and know if the predicted swells were correct, looked on a few webcams, like Tynemouth and the mouth of the tyne but can't really tell if the seas are decent.

Seahouses and the sea is massive. No boat trips at all. I was going to go spinning but i,me having second thoughts looking at the rain. Plus the water will be mucky.
Mick.
