Just been checking surf forecast for coming week (surf-forecast.com + magic seaweed). Currently have big seas forecast for coming weekend in NE.

Apparently you lads down Blyth way will be getting 4.5m waves Thursday pm building to 5.5m Friday and tapering off into Sat. Quite big cross or cross off winds.

Sat night could be a good time to get out

those 2 sites are usless and never or very rarely does the sea get as big as they forecast, the met office is the most reliable site to use for sea forecast.

aye if you use met office and put Tynemouth long sands it gives you weather and sea state and normally there spot on you can get other local beaches I find msw surforcsat are normally way out

its not always about wind direction that lifts the sea. depends whats happening further out at sea and what direction the swell is coming from.

Its a shame but XC Weather used to show a Map of Britain and you could click on a Buoy way off NE Scotland and see what the weather was doing out at Sea. Was brilliant but no longer shown.

As and ye shalt recieve.... or something like that.

Magicseaweed tells lies when you look a week or so in advance but it is normally fairly accurate within +2 - 3 days.

Remember most of our swell on a NW wind comes from much further north which will result in big but nice clean ground swell.

Just said on Yorkshire telly 80 mph winds from the west tomorrow .... will that stir up the fishing for sat tides ??
