You can get bigger swells from a Northerly than a N Easterly.
Some times a gale force westerly can generate a big swell in the right conditions.
It all depends on where the Pressure systems are situated.

I just been down and theres 4 or 5 decent swells about 5 foot high rolling in , it will be spot on at half water anywhere in the ne I think anyways ... get out there lads , tonight will be fill up night I recon .
