BIG wrecks or small wrecks?

Well just to start a thread off really.

What do you lads like fishing best, big wrecks or small wrecks?

Ill strat...we seem to do best from small wrecks for cod and the odd ling and never do that much from the big wrecks, only a few big ling.

With the big wrecks you get a long drift and easy for setting up the drift but can be very snaggy.

prefer small wrecks, drift on any size wrek to me depends on tide, wind, lie of the wreck and wether you use a drogue. If you know how you can stay on a little wreck for ages. That is general, but who knows which wreck is going to fish and when.

Any wreck suits me as long as it gets me in among the fish.

Right whats your smallest wreck caught fish then?

Dave has a pic of mine and....yes its true i was smiling at it....it was a ling of about 6\" caught on a 8\" pirk.

Every wreck was box netted netted :casstet: we did about 90 miles today for a few cod and ling upto 7lb

shame, but I suppose you have to have a go. The UKHO have it maked now as a commercial ground, same with all the wrecks on the dogger.

Waste of 130 ltrs of fuel and money like but at least we tried. Mind the charters had a few big fish but no great number sof fish from the radio chatters we heard when heading home.

I just got up after 13hrs kip lol i needed that after just under 48hrs of no kip.
