Just had a really heavy thunderstorm for the past 45 mins: Rain, hail, galeforce winds.........it\'s now heading off towards the coast......probably there, now. Wonder how many damp anglers spinning for mackerel there\'ll be at the end of Shields pier.... :o :exclam:

I just walked 10ft from our back door to close the shed doors and got soaked to the skin, still it might wash all the mackeral guts and daylite packets off the pier

Just in case you thought that Native Americans had settled in Whiteleas Tony, that thick, white smoke was my BBQ being knacked by the storm :o :(

Lol Rob.....

I thought somebody was sending a reply to all the smoke signals from over my way....hahahaha

Had our bbq, cleaned up and put everything away, had a bath, put some after sun on, gone to the pub............................ rain is so heavy I\'ve only just got back.... as if she\'ll believe that. Is pi***ng down though.

Just got back from a lovely sunny dry weekend in Yorshire, coming up the A19 the heavens opened, got home an inch of water in the garage road outside ankle deep. Thats nowt David you will like this they where swimming under he bridge at the bottom of Burnside Road

Ah well yous should all pay your council taxes then it\'ll stop before it swallows up little people (there are 12 in the photo) and potential Miss wet t-shirt contestants

Bet they\'re all in the amusements at Cullercoats (and Whitley Bay)......how to rock away, rock away

Getting late for me methinks

David,
I think they MUST all pay their Council Tax.......they\'ve even got street lights that work when the electrics are partially submerged :o

Probably not Whitley David, sadly its like down town Baghdad, the sea front is a disgrace to say the least

I remember last summer when we had flash storms a couple of lads at Hartlepool/Boro got caught out in there boats sadly I think they drowned,can\'t remember now, hope everyone got back in ok today, the rain storms were forecast for today

Like ya thinkin, I\'m sure I applied for a job with South Tynside Street Lighting many moons ago, can\'t understand how I never even got an interview :D :D

Yes Alan, I remember that.

I was out with Norman, taking part in a NESA \"just for the sake of it\" boat fishing comp. VERY scary as it just came out of nowhere.
Fortunately, all the boats taking part were all together at one wreck when it hit. We heard about the incident over the radio.........realised just HOW lucky we\'d been.
