bit of advice please lads

im about to start making my own pirks and weights, im stuck on which size treble hooks and split rings i need for pirks and which clips/loops i need for weights, any advice or links to websites please?

We use 8/0 trebles and 14MM diameter extra strong split rings Tony.

The loops would depend on which moulds you are using.

I dont use split rings anymore, I use Mustad easy links

forget trebbles after many years wrecking found there is no difference in catch rates between trebbles and decent single hooks, only difference is with trebbles you losse more gear

Also using a single hook causes less damage to the fish and your fingers for those that release & return - Also a lot easier to de hook
