Blank at Horden

Went out for few hours tonight hoping for something now the sea has died down. Nothing at all , snagged twice and bait being stripped . I'll be back to fight another day .

seaham fished well. Had a report of cod being caught off the beach.

Me and my mate fished there last night as well he only had one yting and i had a big fat blank as well mate i seen fish come in but not many codling most of them where yting.

I find I'm falling out of love with Horden, the beach where I (mis)spent a lot of my youth. Last couple of times I've fished I've kept getting snagged up down Dene Holme way. Headed elsewhere last night and had a cracking session so think I'll be playing away more often from now on.

was down Horden last night as well as Monday, 4 codling each visit, monday they took worm and last night crab, 1 set up lost in both visits due to weed. Have to to stop swinging that lead Mr Tucker and drop it in short as theres not many snags there

Nah don't mind losing gear at all, just when I'm set up for clean beach fishing and I keep getting snagged it p's me off. Never known it be a problem there before could be lost tackle snags or I heard it could be an old net. Still it's made me get out of my comfort zone and try a couple of different places so it's not all bad.

It is only when I drop closer in that I get snagged. If I belt it I get the gear back every time but it seems that 60 - 80 yards out at Dene Holme I'm getting snagged up. Same was happening to the lads next to me in the H4H match the other week.

i know i was fishing next to you in match and walked to car park with you. think a few rocks got exposed after big sea previous had scoured gully out. one day you lose nowt then others a good few sets of gear. i fished north end with Sean a few times and lost a load of gear over those sessions.
