saw a man lifted off hawthorn point by helicopter broken leg i was told hope hes ok
few rods out but no fish see was canny flat but bloody cold afternoon

Saw the helicopter from Horden, I had wondered what was going on.

The angler broke his leg when he lost his footing down the bottom of the Blast. Been in hospital for an op, and all ok now (well, as good as can be expected).

It pays to fish in twos, as even what seems to be easy flat rocks can always cause a slip etc.
