Why is it that every weekends forecast is poor but as Monday comes round very quickly it's brighter & its looking the same this weekend

It's called, sods law! I know all about it, every weekend the wife says, "Still no car boot sale with this damn weather the fields are waterlogged" she's got real withdrawal symptoms, just like us.:D:D
I know some of you are gonna say, being retired, you can go out when you please but, I always think, safety in numbers. It's a lonely place out there midweek.

I can relate to that Arthur, midweek is nice and quiet for sure(mostly) but there is a lot to be said for being able to see that other fishing boat or yacht in the distance when you are out on your own.

Well i have every sat/sun/mon and friday available to fish for the next 3 weeks but i bet out of the 12 days i could fish i will get out maybe 5-6 times at best.

Sat is already knocked on the head and Sunday is not far behind it unless that sea settles fast as its close together waves from all directions, be chcked all over the shop.

Longest day been and gone so now its on the way towards winter again we may start getting light west winds :)

21 trips called off, 17 fished is this years total so far...first year since i have owned a boat that the called off has out numbered the trips that went ahead and some of the trips that went ahead would have been no goers in same conditions last year.
