I havnt fished there in ages, and with the good seas, i fancy trying there sometime this week. But after hearing a while ago there was some nets there or something, i dont know if they are still there? or if the fishing is crap at the moment off the beach? thanks

Try the North end if the wind is blowing from the North,Sluice end will probably be unfishable by the weekend if the strong winds turn up on Friday, best over Low Water IMO,

I would agree with Alan, as he says if the sea does get up from the north there will be little or no chance of fishing the Sluice end of the beach. Cambois pier shelters the top section and it has to be very bad to stop you fishing there. You will probably still get pulled down the beach a bit so keep away from the pipe or you will get snagged up on the old workings. I have spent many nights on there and it can be very rewarding at times.

I prefer fishing the south end at high water although I have still had some good sessions there at low water too. It is always best when fishing the south end to have a look down a day or so before and see where the holes are, they tend to move a bit after each storm. Have a good session and let us know how you get on mate.

Jim.

The good thing about that beach is you can catch fish at either high or low water (that's if the fish are there of course). I always prefer to fish high water, usually in the middle of the beach, as Willywetegg says, find the holes at low water and cast into them at high water, another really good advantage of fishing two hours either side of high water is you set your gear up and that's it, no need to keep moving.

Lazy fishing at it's best.
