doon this afternoon not a mark a really like but ideal for the bairn any way nitemare with the boats harbour day thing :confused: doon 3 and half hours got there bang on low water bites nearly every cast first 2 hours coalie each and a crab each draw as she pointed out :red: got my crab 3rd last cast 2 save the draw thank god or would b sick of hereing her gan on all nite :)

it wasn worse on the pier. was down for two and ahalf hours and didnt see one fish caught by anyone on the peir. just aload of crabs :( alough it was good to see blyth beach at low tide with it being a big spring tide seen alot of lugwom casts on the beach aswell. might explain why lugworm is usally the best bait in winter off blyth peir and beach...
 
was the whole area closed to cars m8 as i was thinking of having a couple of hours down there today but dont want to walk miles from the car if it is i might try farther up river nearer the water works over high tide ,thanks

Quay side has restriction on access,lucky as my sons partner lives down there so we could get in.
Plus very busy and noisy,pretty sure that you would be getting asked : you caught anything" a lot. :)
 
i get that all the time " caught owt mister" hehe usually just as im setting up , think ill try farther up then see if anything is there hopefully some flattys i had one from the docks last week 26cm and really chunky and nearly black in colour so im hoping he,s from the mud farther up , thanks for the info much appreciated
