Spoke to a lad coming off the pier about 1/2 hour ago, said theres been a few caught, biggest he heard was 7lb but there appeared to be alot on

There were four lads fishing on the beach next to me last night that had been on the pier and they said that the biggest fish they had heard of on the pier all day was only about 5 lb lol. :casstet: :casstet: Who knows lol.

whats it like for getting there and leaving your car - night time - might give it a shot on monday night - or if anybody who is after me is reading this , i am really going to Mcnulty`s or middle dock LOL :P :P

hi lads
its safe to leave your car parked there, ive never had any trouble there .
i had a walk along there yesterday with my son, there was a few fish caught the biggest i saw was a fish for about 9 lb, a couple of doubles lost as well, not sure if there was anymore caught last night, im off down there tonight for a couple of hours , if you do go down lads dont forget to take a dropnet as most of the big fish are lost on the lift, the majority of the fish were caught using all sorts of baits but the bait that was catching the most was lug and fresh mussell.

Bri there is a car park just as you go into the Blyth docks area and I usually park there for fishing the north end of the beach. There were a few cars broken into a few years ago but I havn\'t heard anything since then.

There is a security camera on the top end of the car park so I always try to park near the top.

Head up the A19 and then follow the A189 for Blyth beach. When you get to the big roundabout at the north end of the beach take the second exit and follow the road for 400 yards or so and turn in at the docks. You will see the parking on your right as you are not allowed to take your car past the barrier. Hope this helps.

Jim.

you can get your car through if you have a disabled badge , but make sure you are the badge holder , ive heard of 1 or 2 trying to pull this trick and they have had the badge took off them if they arent the owner of the badge

A mate of mine fished the pier yesterday 7.30am till about 6pm and said there were a few good fish caught but no doubles the biggest being 8.2lb a bigger fish was lost trying to handball it up the pier
