Hi all thanks for the comments such a turn over. One of my pals told me he once caught a doggy off blyth pier early last year. Anyway was at tackle shop in ashington today and john n gary were happy to see a doggy lads!!
gary thinks its a Huss or summit but defo female he says, john thinks its a Lesser Spotted Dogfish

10hrs fishing aint long either, especially when your catchin on 2 rods constantly

Well done Richie. What Jim means is you don't want them of being in plague proportions like over SW Scotland, where you can't to the decent fish for them.
They're a novelty (they were for me when I first started fishing for them), but believe me when you're after smoothies and Rays, they're a pain in the a**e.
I don't know if you or your mate drives, but get yourself over Kirkcudbright/Whithorn or the Mull, you'll get all the dogs you want.
