Blyth pier again

Well thought i would try blyth pier again today after seeing the forecast i thought it would have dropped off a bit. When i arrived about 3pm it wasnt too bad as the wind had dropped off a bit. This was soon replaced by a screaming southerly gale blowing right in my face, later on this gale was carrying nice icy rain.

I fished til 7.15 and all i had to show was a small coley ~(same as yesterday) only saw one flatty caught other than that and some gadgiee had a cod about 2lb before i arrived.

sea was huge, holding bottom was a nightmare, cross lines a plenty, wasted 2 gallon on jungle juice and about a tenners worth of bait, dont you just love fishing!!!!

would love to fish the weekend as im sure it will be good, got to go to work though. That is unless i mysteriously catch that virus thats going around??

Well done for braving the elements Ian, I was really keen to go myself today once I finished work at 18:00 but I've been watching the forcast and the 30mpm southerly didn't sound much fun so I decided early today not to bother. Going to get up tomorrow, check the forcast, check the webcams, load up the flask and head off somewhere, haven't a clue where.

When I do decide where I'm going to fish I'm not going to put a thread on NESA telling anyone where I'm going as I'm sure fish can read :D

I am so so tempted to throw a sickie, not something i have ever done before!!

i could take a lieu day but as my hols etc only started 4 days ago i dont like using them too early in the year.

Go for it man go for it, there will be that many fish about tomorrow we'll need both cars to carry them back, if your car is 200hp it would make more sense for you to take my fish home, I'll manage yours in the glove box on my car :D

Anyway back to the serious stuff, forget about sickies for two reasons, the first reason is I don't believe in them, second reason is your boss might have nowt better to do than read NESA on a Friday night, so go for the lieu day if you can. The fish won't wait!
