Blyth Pier

Never fished Blyth pier before, What type of ground will i be fishing and is there anywhere close & safe to park my car?

there's a car park next to the caravan storage place, that's were a go and cars always safe.

depends were you fish mate from the bend to the end you mat lose gear apparently there gill nets out still but up to the bend is relatively clean

aye mate as dessertdog says the car park is as safe as and the last time I was there about a month ago there were nets out from the bend to the end of the pier about 20 yrds out. so I fished just before the bend and got nowt, always done ok just after the bend. good luck mate, mick.

I fished there on Sunday and lost 7 sets of gear in 9 casts. Did get one fish out first cast 1 3/4 pound. Muscle seem to do the biz.

blyth harbour

blyth harbour

any of you lads fishing the harbour jetty, going down next Thursday as my m8 is just out of hospital and cant walk very fair.
so I could just drive onto the jetty and we can fish from there if he starts to feel the cold he can jump into the car and still watch his rod.
any tips advice lads welcome.

If you hav a decent fish on just watch you dont get it stuck on the wooden beams

My mate didnt want to go so ended up on shields pier, Will still try blyth pier soon though

My factory has just moved to Blyth so might be worth taking my gear with me

I like to take my two grandsons up to blyth jetty they have just started to like fishing so its a good venue for them to start if the weather gets bad they can just jump into the car.
I myself used to fish there years ago never lost any gear so that was a bonus just had to odd fish.
had more luck fishing from the wood pier
