Well thought i would give the pier a shot, as the sea had picked up, and thought it would be quiet soince new years day. Only had a couple knocks and that was it, very poor. Hopefuly therel b more fish about when im back out on thursday.

wasnt much about anywhere last nite according to most of the posts, well done on trying tho,its all we can do at times:)

I too fished blyth pier from approx 12.30 pm until 3.00pm. conditions perfect ( but with the build up only about a day old) with everybody I spoke to saying there was nothing happening, I had intended staying longer to fish bottom water, but the cold beat me ( I just couldnt even face baiting up again my fingers were in so much pain..it must be an age thing...lol.) and just as I was packing up a lad caught a two and a half pounder on the bend, so it may of just started fishing??...I didnt hang about to find out.... then got back to the car park and felt as warm as toast.

Did think of giving the pier a shot today, not a place i would go for as a rule, but the call of some work on the bike came first.
Looks like i missed nowt

the lad who caught the 2-8-0 fish, was one of the lads I saw coming into the harbour, it was the only fish he saw caught
