Thursday 25.04.2013, 2lb 1oz cod caught uptiding just off Seaham Pier. Bait used fresh lug and mussel....

I heard this morning down the marina that a couple of Mackerel have been caught off the pier...

When I wrote that I thought the thread would have dozens of pics and loads of comments.....how wrong was I...

It's true about the Mackerel, I was talking to him at the fresh fish counter in Asda, he had just caught them and had them in a silver packet so they stayed fresh.......

I'm hoping to get out for a few hours as well Arthur , if I can shake this bl@@dy cold off....

I might have a short run out tomorrow afternoon too, if the weather looks OK. Me and Mark the little un have dug a few worms to go with the other bait in the freezer so we’re ready to rock and roll.

Arthur, note that we DUG the worms, tried with a pump and only found loads of sand so I need a mastercalss next time you’re down.
