Just spoken to one of the guys who is out fishing and they are on the way back in now as the sea is about 5-7ft and building from the NE. The forecast for tomorrow is not looking too good for the smaller boats.
aye got to agree ...... the weekend curse thing ...
This year (although we've done well on catches) they have always came with the aches and pains of a big sea.
To date in 2011 (and its now mid June) I can confirm the only day I've had in a decent sea was a bank hol monday (whis falls outside of the curse). We've not yet had ANY saturday decent seas and have had to fish "on the edge" as it were to comfort ..... ... still thats life .. deal I suppose
roll on next weekend , oh I mean the one after I`ll be on hol next weekend
(not decent enough conditions to try the "oddpirks" today so instead of simply throwing them overboard we will defer our tests )
I've just watched the weather forecast on the BBC news channel 6-30pm, and they are giving light winds from the west. The south west winds should stay on the west side of the country.
The forecasts are looking promising for tomorrow and if they’re right I’ll be out, but at a time too late for the comp. The sea has dropped slightly this afternoon and looked OK by early evening. I'll be listening to ch6 and 8 from late morning if out.
I thought last night from 8am until 1pm would be fishable but because that means i would not get to the marks i wanted to i wont be fishing the comp so having a day off..good luck.
As expected they should of good to about 1pm with a slow drift and flatish sea...after 1 going to be a bumpy ride...sure be some good fish caught if the reports of late anythign to go on.
