We left the harbour at 9:30. the weather was bright with a low sun and a chilly North Westerly.

Allan had been out a couple of times over the weekend and the fishing had not been that good. We decided to drift to see what we could pick up, if we found fish we would anchor.

Not many fish pictures. So a few of us leaving the harbour.

First drop and Allan had a small whitey, things looked promising.

But as with previous days the fishing was slow, we both managed a decent whitey a piece close in but that was about it.

We fished acouple of mile off and then inshore to Hawthorn point not a bite. After awhile we returned to South of the pier and drifted not a thing. At 2:30 we called it a day.

We had 6 whities between us three of which we kept.Method was baited hokkais with smelly squid and mackerel.

Not a bad day to be out.The sun was low and bright the wind was North Westerly and a bit chilly, but still an enjoyable few hours to be drifting about.

Nice report, i will have my eye on anything listed as Seaham this year as very interested in regards to how that marina is doing.

Great report and pics Davey :), this cold spell thats coming and and a bit movement on the water might bring the codling back in, looked a nice day out there and hopefully it wont be long before i'm seeing the same views...:)

Definately need a good blow to stir things up. Fishing is in the doldrums at the moment.
