boat fishing today

Well 5 days off work time, everything arrived and fitted on the boat now that i need and alot i will prob never need lol so lets look at the weather............infact maybe not, only put me in a down mood not to mention wet mood if i go outside...rain and north winds, rain then heavey rain then nw winds then more rain with light west winds then...yep more heavey rain with sw winds...wind direction and sea seems ok but its going to be a wet one i think.
Went 1 mile off the piers today to test out some new electronics and the sea was slight to mod, not that brown as last Monday and fish a drop, never went wrecking just stopped on the sand bank for an hour, coalie, flatties, whiting and alot of mackerel again.

Yer should be ok, even if just a few close in marks, Thur looks a cracking day, light west wind smooth-slight sea....still time to change lol
Must take the family out 1 day next week also so need a flat day and a nice patch to catch some flatfish from no more than 1 mile off....anyone got any good flatie area long and lats just off the time?
If not will be trial and error, never been flattie/sandbank fishing from a boat before but under orders to catch soem plaice and so on, on an easy days fishing.

Well bert if I were going to pick a week off work then I`d probably plump for middle of August as it`s the middle of the summer and top fish catching time ..............................
then I`d be hissed off like you .....
looks like wor lass and I have been let loose for 3 months so we just booked a hol in gran canaria in a few weeks time....... and I took the following week off work as well (
) so fingers crossed ...
hope it improves for the latter part of the week for ya mate .....

Norman on about holidays, my son who lives in South Africa or did, has just started a new job, so won,t be going on my six weeks hols to SA, shame, but never mind the place he has gone to is supposed to be quite good for shore and boat fishing, some of you may of heard of it, its a small Island in the Indian Ocean, called
