bolam lake

hi, i was thinking of trying bolam lake for a spot of piking, does anyone have any info on the fishing as its donkeys years since ive been there?

How you doing Bob?

I've never fished it but I believe it has the same close season as the rivers. So it won't be fishable until June.
Warm weather and pike plus shallow water isn't a good combo either, pike are ravenous at the minute and are really taking baits.

hi jim, tried barean loch near dalbeattie a few weeks ago, had three all around six pound,plus a few dropped runs.

Hi mate I fish Bolam every season 16th of june it starts its £8 per day or £32 all season I fished it all summer last year was good at start of season then went crap after that.me and my mates had a few doubles 10.12.13lb out in summer then by october it was dead mate.lost some biggens a few times my reels been smoking off but every time its got into snags.def some monsters in like.best bait mackerel tail
