Blanked again

Decided on an early trip to fish a new mark for us near Kirkudbright with sport being a bit quiet in the North East at the moment. After a bit of research we plumped for Borness Point. Stocked up with macky, blueys, rag, squid and leads from Dusty Bin (cracking weights from a good bloke and cheap as chips) to fish the bottom, spinners and lures of various shapes, types and colours to try out also. I picked up Gary at 5.45 Sunday morning then headed over for Dean (Wheres the fish), rang 3 times then text him but to no avail
so we set off. Dean rang to apologise as we crossed the border by Gretna which was a bit late to turn back
.
We parked up at the farm at Borness at 8am and started walking to the point, we got there after clambering over the fields and rocks to be greeted to this view and looked forward to a good day fishing
When i checked my phone i had a text off Dean saying "I'm on my way, where are you" but i couldn't text back as we had no signal so we got the rods set up
A few hours passed with no fish touching the baits then Dean arrived and set up on the rocks to our right at which point a said to Gary "watch him catch first cast" which is precisley what he done by bringing in a doggie
We were full of compliments to him for his great effort

I then joined in with a doggie
Then a pollack
Gary then joined in
Me and Dean had 1 more doggie each which completed the fishing for the day but no one blanked.
All fish were taken on fish baits.
We each also tried spinning throughout the day but without any success but that should change in another 4 - 6 weeks hopefully.
We then packed up all our gear, and our rubbish, and set off back to the car for the journey home but a good day was had by all.
Roll on summer.

Anyone who fancies a trip over to the west for the first time remember the tides rise a bit further over that side than they do on the east so keep an eye behind you at all times as it is very easy to become stranded on some of the rock marks

Also please remember to bring all your rubbish home with you as apparently some lads from our area have been leaving their crap behind which is a few idiots spoiling it for us all again:exclam::exclam::exclam:
