Me and mate fished shields today at 42 from 10:00, started off canny with a coalie about 1 1/4 and then chuck after one that must have been nudging 2, mate then lost another goodin pulling it up the side. Went a bit quiet but we still managed to get some small flatties and coalies, 5 very young lads set up just to my right with spinners etc. and I thought fu**in he*l here we gan but was suprised at how well behaved and competent they were, nice long straight chucking on gear that wouldn't have cost much and they caught a couple of cracking coalies. The rain never seemed to stop so it was pretty miserable but then at around 3 I got this:
About a 1lb I reckon so went back to fight another day.
I got this one though the chuck after:
Kept for tea, weighed in at 1 10
Waco if yer watching it was caught on the chuck just after yer legged it down the pier for yer cup of tea.LOL
Mate then got another coalie:
So not a bad sesh in horrible conditions. Bait used was rag and frozen peeler but all fish came on the crab.
