10lb mono reel line to a braid leader a right pain for me at the minute anyway still experimenting.

Albright knot, tied with the mono doubled is as good as anything I`ve tried. A dab of superglue on braid knots does no harm either imo

on some occasions you are spot on .

i used to use 80lb braid straight through (code red) then started to attach 6ft of 80lb mono, dont loose as much braid now at all,
i use f/s with reel down the butt.
