I would always use a leader
Would a 60lb shocker do n how long
Well try a 70lb braid shocker, attach it with a biminey twist, even 70lb braid is thin so it'll cast great
Yep, I use 66lb power pro on a couple of my reels and still have an 80lb mono leader
General rule of thumb is twice the length of the rod and half a dozen turns on the reel. Oh and 60lb will be fine. I attach mine with a Bimini in the braid and then a Slim Beauty to attach the Bimini to the leader
Dwn my way the lads that use braid tend to use 30lb braid with a braided shockleader of around 70lb/80lb,some use a mono leader, they say it act's like a shock absorber when playing fishSome lads swear by 60lb/70lb braid straight thru, but tbh braid with braided leader seem's to be the most pop, they reckon mono leader with braid causes tangle issues
Just a bit of food for thought buddy, personally I'm a mono man

I had nothing but problems using a mono leader braid to braid is best by far
I found that when casting hard with a mono leader it tends to wrap up in the rings and crack off so went with braid to braid. Didn't have any issues.
Think with mono leaders it was a case of the braid not being heavy enough to push the leader through the ring or so I was told anyway
