Bull huss caught at hendon prom

fishing at hendon prom today mrtt, caught a 3.5lb bull huss, this fish was identified by several people, a very strange visitor to the area .:eek:
 
Doggies can easily get upwards of 4lb, i mean at the mull we have had them upwards of 6lb. The nasal flaps are what distinguish huss from doggies. If they are clearly seperated its a huss, if not its just a regular doggie.

British shore caught record for Lesser Spotted Dogfish is 4lb 15oz. Like Smoothhound they are very difficult to guesstimate the weight - I seen loads of 6lb hounds that were in reality much nearer 2-3lb in weight...

As to the OP well done to the lad who caught it, seems more and more unusual species are turning up on the NE coast.
 
surely if someone had caught a rare species and so many witnesses atleast thered be a picture took from one of them COM,ON LADS :D

i caught a lesser spotted pair of camel riders underpants the other day but i got to excited to take a pic ! :o

in all seriousness why cant people just take peoples word on things unless it sounds utterly ridiculous and catching a bull huss round here doesn't :D
