Well with it being a nice sunny morning and bait to use up Ross and me headed up to cambios to fish to the right hand side of mouth of wansbeck from* start of flood some nice holes and channels there to fish as tide floods in set up bout 100 yards from mouth of river
Simple ledger rig for me and flapper for Ross with plain 3oz leads
*all we had bait wise was rag and bluey* second cast for me nice plump flounder not big Ross second cast produced a little two sided flounder his first one his third cast he got a cracking bite on his flattie rod but missed it not long after that my rod tip went mental took up slack line and started to reel in as I did fish come flying out of water at first thought it was a bass kept reeling in fast as I could with me 525 fish came out of water again this time Ross got better look at it nice fresh run seatrout about 2lbs covered in sealice safely landed took few photos and back in it went
Ross next cast his rod tip went again we new not a flattie bite thought cud be another seatrout but it was a nice coalie about 1.25lb no time for pic as wanted to get it straight back in water as looked done in but swam away strongly as we got pushed up the beach bites stopped packed in about two pm all in all very enjoyable few hours out in nice weather
Cheers phil
