I missed out personally and skipped straight into into "House" music after a frankly embarrasing flirtation with Heavy Metal. Anyone into dance music should doff their caps and pay homage to the lads and lasses that kept it real and continue to do so with the pure and particular vibe that is Northern Soul. I remember watching a mate of mine trying to adjust to this new dance thing that was acid house. He was spinning, leaping, shuffling and grooving all over the not, twitchy feet and loads of spinning, while we were slow stepping and hand dancing. His moves were fantastic but unfortunately he hadn't quite got managed to do it in time to the music![]()
