Cannot believe Jeremy did that !!!

Did anyone see Jeremy Wade on Wednesday night ? He was fishing for big Tarpon and got a monster on his line. The fish was thrashing about all over the river and jumping out of the water in a bid to get free. Jeremy managed to get it next to his dinghy and then grabbed the trace with his bare hands to try and bring this monster alongside. The result was badly lacerated fingers due to the trace cutting into his hand ! I understand that we can all get carried away when we strike into a big fish but I would have thought that Jezza would have known better

Lacerated fingers are no problem here. He'll drown for sure. Just give him time.
Mess with water and water critters and you'll get bitten in more ways than one.

yes I did see that, not a good advert for fishing in my opinion he was also in the wrong type of boat to fish for this type of large fish he could have been snagged himself with the line pulled over the side.

He gets into some right old scrapes does Jeremy! I remember when he was netting arapaima and one jumped out and smashed him in the chest. The doctor told him that the impact was the equivalent of being in a car crash and having the steering wheel hitting him in the chest....ouch! I also remember the little dinky plane that he was flying in came crashing down in the amazon. I bet his kecks turned brown after that near miss
