cart whats best way

been sat here thinking of a way to make the cart more bulky so it doesnt dissolve so quickly when in the water, i thought to myself i wonder if a bit of gelatine mixed in would make them more robust , nipping to morrisons soon to get some finger bandage and some gelatine will report back latter if it works.

I mix mine with liquidised bread.
It soaks up all the juices and releases them more slowly...

it seems to me that alot of people are tying cart in different "carriers" and different methods...

i experimented with all sorts from sausage skin to net curtains and even pva mesh... i tried fishing it frozen and i tried fishing it fresh.. i tried bulking it out with various other baits such as mussell or mackys

but over the years i have come to the decision ...the best way for me is
frozen in cling film...
it is easy transported in a wide mouthed flask the same as frozen peelers..
in fact just treat the same as frozen peeler.... the only difference is you take your peeler out of the cling film...

i freeze it in two sizes ... small is about an inch long as thick as your finger and the other is about 2 inches long but the same thickness... the idea with this is i can use the smaller one on the inside of the hook and the longer one on the outside of the gape on the shank..

it is the same as other baits some days you can catch on it other days you dont.. i have had most success with it over rough ground
some times it fishes best on its own others the fish seem to prefer it with a worm wrapped around...

as for the time its left in the water .... its the same as frozen peeler... too long and you are fishing with a washed out bait with little scent..

remember these methods are just what suit me and the places i fish... but dont be afraid to think outside the box... you never know you could try something that gives you the edge..

the cling film method may work mate but turtles mistake plastic bags and cling film as small jelly fish which they eat and then kills them.

Now i no why cart is banned from north east comps and all club matchs, all that cling film is killing all the turtles, psml good old forums:

got some cart and was wondering what your methods are for using it, have seen people use it inside squid or cart sausages, was wondering whats the best way to make a nice cart bait what do others use.
