Casting At Seaton With Bob Colins

Just like to say many thanks to Bob Colins for taking the time out to give me and the 2 other lads casting lessons today, I can honestly say that I learned more in 6 casts than I have done in several hundred by myself using books and videos. It's amazing how easy and effortless it is when you get it right, especially considering the way I've been thrasing the bollocks out of my rod for the past year and getting no where. Bobs a top bloke and a great teacher and anybody considering getting a lesson of him wont regret it, just as long as your ego can take watching him flip a lead out half a mile to sea as if it was the easiest thing in the world. Good Day, good crack with the lads, I Think Clarky is probably still down there. Now if I can only find someone to teach me how to catch fish other than billet I'm sorted.

Cheers

Rich

Was a good day really enjoyed it. Left the beach about 3ish but got to car and battery was flat so had to wait 3 more hours to be rescued, ad av had a few more casts but arms were aching slightly

Yeah, it was a good few hours tuition. Thanks Bob.

It was great to see how to cast properly, such great distance with what looked like minimal effort. Can't wait to get back out there to practice and try to perfect the OTG cast.

Think I might have the casting bug now

Also was good to meet Bob, Rich and Clarky. Top guys

Wudnt mind going to somthing like that if possible, It would be nice to see how it is done without the usual this is how its done mate followed by the birds nest or crack off:D

Aye true bud.
We had a couple of crack offs but bob was blasting em out with no effort, was good to see it done right for a change.
And before any casting took place it was a safety first talk

Alright, Clarky and Tony nice to meet you to yesterday, might get out for another practice session tomorrow see if I've managed to forget everything I learned.

Thanks for the invite clarky I'll take you up on that mate, I'm used to not catching owt so it familiar territory for me lol.

No secret handshake mate . Im a registered Sea Angler magazine casting instructor , one of 3 or 4 who are members of the North East Surfcasting Association any of whom are more than willing to offer advice or instruction to anyone who asks either at our practice nights at Kirkleathem (summer only)or by arrangement at other times .
