I want to improve my casting - at best I'm a 50yd lobber....

Have always been a fixed spool man, and for budget reasons won't be changing anytime soon...

Who can give you the best advice, tips and improve your technique?

Does it cost for these peoples time?

Any help and info much appreciated...

Wallsendo....a tip i was given, by Peter Thain..one of the best if not the best casters around..(well, now in Iceland).. was to hold the rod as if you were going to cast normaly, but instead of letting the sinker swing, let out more line and put it on the ground at your feet behind you...this obviously depends upon where you are fishing and the proximity of other people around you, but as an instant distance increaser, he swore by it...(I must admit to of not having tried it, being too set in my ways..old habits ...and all that..)

one way to get easy distance is the uni or high inertia.
for right handers

place the lead on the ground inside the rod tip as to make a v.the drop length varies from 4-6feet you'll have to experiment with the drop till it feels right for you. set yourself up so both heels are about shoulder width apart and in line with the rod tip and the sinker,a straight line in other words facing the target. lift the left hand up high above your head ,the right arm should be about eye height above the shoulder slightly bent.now your set up .look up and slowly sweep the rod up over your right shoulder and exellerate to punch with the right hand and pull with the left hand , the sinker should go dead straight and high about 40/45degrees and over 150yds..
