heading up here in a fortnights time for the first time havn't sea fished often so was just wundering what bait to take an how much of it staying friday till monday.

also what species are present here??? and what tactics to have a go for them???

Jamie,
the first thing you need to do is buy a ordanance survey map for the area.There is loads of marks that you will miss without the map.
good pair of walking boots will help and be carefull if there has been any rain as the rocks up there are like a ice rink. I screwed wader studs in my boots which helps.
you will be able to buy sandeels, mackeral in CD +Kirkcudbright.
You are going there at probably the best time of the year there is loads of species to be had Dogs,Pollock,Wrasse,huss,rays the list is endless.
Take spinning gear and heavier beach gear and enjoy it.
One of the easier marks to get to is at the back of the golf course at brighouse most of the marks involve a trek.

Was up there a few weeks ago,bagged up ondoggies at Rascarrel Beach.Ifished over the bridge from the car park then went allong the rocks for about 3/4 mile(a trek!!!).
As recommended get an OS map,the tackle shop/pet shop at the top of the high street will sort you out (only frozen bait on offer ,try macky strip,squid and large launce.)
