I hate fog
...and it was thick this morning at 9.00 when I went down the marina, so after a chat with Allan.. (the local boat builder)
...I went back home, had a sarnie...and pondered what to do
.... at 11.30 I thought what the hell and went back down.... still foggy but not quite as bad..

I only had an hour and a half before the dock gate shut so it was a quick dash in a choppy sea to the nearest wreck. The drift was quick at 1.5 - 2.0 knots
I like my orange toys and lost a few rigs to the wreck
, so i put on one of my only 2 orange shads
...a few drifts and nowt
....I lost the 2 orange shads
, so put a blue shad on.....guess what...fish straight away
....then another
.....dropped 2 off
.... then it was time to come in....didn't want to get locked out....
I wish i'd fished blue from the start, I think it might have been a different story...
I gave 2 filletts to Allan for his tea, and a seagull tried to take off with mine and the carrier bag they were in after I left it on the pontoon, luckily it picked the carrier bag up upside down and the fish fell out...

An enjoyable 2 hours out....
and me and The Local Boat Builder are having fish n chips for tea tonight..
