Started fishing at 10.00 off Hendon with spinners and hokeyes on the drift, but the wind was too strong even with the drogue out we were flying along. So plan "B" came into play, anchor deployed and out with the fresh crab. Had a fish the first drop , then quiet for 20 minutes then all hell broke loose with 6 codling in half an hour and 2 wrasse as wel l. Called it a day at 5.00, plenty boats out today but the fishing seemed patchy...........

Nice one Chris, the fresh crab certainly did the trick. Can't get out in Lazy Daze just now, landrover dead at the minute, brought home on recovery truck again (twice in two weeks). Hope it's fixed for Royal quays comp on Saturday.

I gave you a shout on 8 Arthur, but didnt get a reply, hope you get the motor sorted mate. There were loads of boats out around the Sunderland area but judging by the radio chat, not a lot of fish about, but it looked like most were drifting too fast. Good luck with the comp and the Land Rover.......

My eldest son has a landrover , he says 70 percent of all landrovers ever built are still on the road , he reckons the other 30 percent must have made it home
Hope it goes a while before it needs a towtruck again mate.

Cheers Ray, You're right about the landrovers, but the one i've got's not a proper one, it's a freelander, with no low box and engine management control, that's it's problem right now, nightmare. Arthur
