Century rods

I see a lot of century rods for sale in this forum, and I ask myself is there anything wrong with century rods or is it just me as I don,t use a century rod.

The reason that you see more for sale as opposed to other makes is because more people own them. And the reason that more people own them is because they are excellent.

Good to hear from members who actually use century, I did own a response at one time and found the rod excellent.

its just the same as anything, rods, reels, cameras, cars etc, a new model comes out, so you buy the new one and try and sell the old one.

Not me,the Century rod i have must be around 8 years old and still does the job

a sensible angler who dosn't fall into the trap, still go my Diawa Whisker, bit soft now, one of the best rods on the market at the time, but they stopped making them for newer models.

I suppose anglers are just as easy seduced with the latest blurb as anyone.
I know that the modern rods are slimmer and lighter them my old one but i still feel most of the casting promises that come with some newer rods have to be taken with a pinch of slat.
As with anything, practise is more the key not the latest wonder rod.
