Century Tip Tornado Sport

century tip tornado sport

definitely a different rod from the mk1, its slightly stiffer, the new tech carbons don't suffer the softening over time as the older rods did,the stuffs come on in leaps and bounds over the last decade, its a slim powerfull rod, don't let the diameter fool you as it did me, this is a rod that takes a bit to master, a proper rough ground rod (winter rod) . deceptive power, for smooth ground the super match ld would be ample, a lot easier to cast. the sport definately prefers a pendulum cast to deliver the goods it recovers fast too , bite detection is ok at distance, but then again im easily distracted chatting to mates, if it registers pin whiting at distance it cant be bad, it is the stiffest rod in the tip tornado range, bear that in mind when the slimness of the blank gets your attention ,

I think he'll probably know by now he started the thread in 2010 lol

I had tip tornado when they initially came out many years ago now, top 8 inches snapped off during a cast for no apparent reason, sent it back to century via the shop I purchased at and they gave me compressor grand prix, what a tool that is, super light, responsive, extremely strong, fantastic compression and absolutely a dream to throw a lead out.
I prefer the grand prix to any zziplex, coupled with abu 6500 slosh30 or 7500 amazing rods and would be very hard to beat

Funny reading this full post then realising it was started years ago. The lads probably had 3 rods since ! In fact probably sold his gear and now plays golf ! Lol.

2 add my 20p's worth. I've used a TTS mk2 for years and will remain using it. Top rod. I haven't used it on the rough stuff, always opting for a KOMP SS. But after reading these posts I might give it ago !
