Hi, just wondering if anybody has "bought over the counter" from Century in Washington. I need to re-do shrink wrap on my TT-R butt and put a new reel seat on too.
Thanks
Lee.

I'm sure I've heard from a few rod builders that Century glue their shrink tube in place - I gather it's a right chew getting the old stuff off!

Gary :)

I'll just have to put new wrap over the old then if that's the case g-force. The rod had thick tennis bat tape on the butt and since I've taken it off its left spiral sticky bits off of the bat wrap in the three places it was placed.

I have been down there a few times last time was to get a replacement reel fitting for my century tip tornado sport.
I phoned first to find out if I could go down to the factory not a problem they told me just bring the rod down for correct reel size.
got down to the reception they asked if I wanted the old reel fitting or the new reel fitting.
after about 10 mins they returned with my rod and the new reel fitting on the rod
they told me if I needed any thing else just pop down spot on service

Just pop down mate. They are spot on. I had the spigot replaced on my mk1 TTS a few year ago.

Did my BB..spot on! Phone first !

Try some white spirit to get the adhesive off....i have used Tippex thinner before, and still do, with no ill effect...but getting rare now ?
