Cheapo 5W LED headlights are here

Just got one of these for less than a tenner from Hong Kong. Blinding bright, probs lasting for a couple of hours on main beam. This one is £8.80! Takes 3 x AAA.

Can recommend this torch as main or back up. The full beam lit up cliffs 150M away.

£1 of batteries a pop. Probs going to get another one and ditch the speleo.

get a fast charger from 7dayshop.com then buy your AA/AAA nimh's from aldi. I've got 2 chargers, come with car adapters for your fag lighter, 7day's batteries are good but the number of recharges I do on the camera's makes it better to buy aldi's (when they're on special more so!).

Need to get the highest rated mAh nimh batteries mate, they've come on massive leaps since the crappy old Ni-Cad rechargeables, my big digital camera takes 4 AA's, good quality ones have seen me last almost a full day and over 700 pics at some English Heritage events. Get what you pay for, but a thousand charges on a top quality nimh rechargable will pay massive dividends compared to buying single use.

probs right about them rechargeables...these take 2 weeks to come from ordering, well mind did.
