Cheapo 5W LED headlights are here

Just purchased one of these lamps off eBay, the seller from Hong Kong seems to have decent feedback regarding these lights, just hope its as good as the posts i've been reading, will be adding it to my evergrowing collection of headlamps which is catching up to my evergrowing collection of reels :D

such are you guys enthusiasm for this, i,ve ordered one as well. if we all fish on the same night it will be like a row of lighthouses along the NE coast
 
which light are you's lads buying as there is two differant ones on this post now ones at roughly £9 and the others £19??

I have ordered one too. I have also ordered a 160w lenser 7HR so I will be able to try them both side by side to see if the 300w claim is true. I will keep you posted.;)

AA/AAA Fast Charger on special at £4.99 currently - 7dayshop.com - Online Store I've got 2 of these, very quick charging and comes with a car adapter so you can top the batteries up while you drive between marks!

1000 mah AAA Nimh's £3.99 pack of 4 - 7dayshop.com - Online Store always found 7dayshop's batteries to be pretty good quality (nb you can get Nimh rechargables at Aldi for £2.99 a pack and I've got a few sets of those so can recommend them aswell)
 
Couldnt stand seeing more posts about these lamps, had to give in and order one:) Dont really need one, but cant let a bargain like this slip by:D

ney bother mate, I buy from 7dayshop regularly and can't fault them. I've got nimh batteries that I've used for upto 5yrs in my camera's, yeah they degrade over time but they alll do, can't fault them though for lifespan and those chargers are solid if all you're charging is AA and AAA.
We do a 7hr each way run to S/Wales each summer and I take one with me, plug it into the fag lighter for any that aren't ready when we leave.

Aldi sometimes have theirs on at £1.99, worth watching out for those offers - main thing is check the rating, higher the miliamp the better. My home phone has 400mA batt's in which are dead in a couple of calls but I swap in 900 and 1000ma's and they last for yonks.

Tried this one out last night and am impressed with what is technically a "cheap import"

Very focused beam in comparison to the Tec Apex main beam - I could light up the front of a house from over 100 yards away.

I would say that while it compares favourably in regards to the main beam, the "wide" setting is not as good as the Apex

Good light for the rocks though I feel where you need a good strong beam to see where you're treading
