Just had some little get hack my photo recce website - probably purely just to prove that he can. Kindly replaced my home page with the fdollowing text:

Cheers lads, but guess what - I changed it back and he\'s hacked it again today! Changed all my passwords now but I don\'t reckon it will hold them off for long. They belong to a website which gloats about how many websites they have defaced!

The servers playing up now so I\'m guessing that they\'ve hit a few people and admin are trying to sort it out.

8 months work went into that for some arseh*le to ruin it.

Ha well, suppose these things happen.

mike i looked in on your site when you first posted it and it was really good and well done,i looked in a couple of months ago and a couple of weeks ago and none of the links to the photos were working,is that down the the *unts that like to play god with websites and keep hacking things????

All the links work fine. Is it the drop down links your refering to? If it is it may be a rare compatibility problem with your system. By clicking the \'venues\' button above the dropdown a failsafe navigation page will appear.

All the links on the on the venues pages are working and haven\'t been changed since I uploaded it originally. Might just be one of those strange unexplanable things, or the hosting company messing around with things!

Is it time to move to a more secure host/server ?

I was thinking that myself Chris. At the minute I\'m using a hosting company that uses Windows servers rather than Unix or Linux. The problem is that I\'m only paying £29 per year and this would go up to at least £59 for Unix. As I don\'t make any money from the site (don\'t want to plaster adverts all over it) I don\'t really want to pay any more for a hobby project.

Been there... had an entire site including BBS trashed, my own fault really in my case though, i\'d p*ssed of a bunch of stalker/flamers on another site and had also been stupid enough not to chmod the access rights to a setup file on my own site.. left it wide open..
