chops - wots your view??

Aye maybe so - But if you offer that money or there`abouts ,why wont they sign for keane ,Christ they could get a taxi helicopter back to london if they wanted ,the mind boggles - and surely playing in front of many thousands more than ,lets say Boro(not hard mind ,the bairns had more for their Sports day LOL) and portsmouth

and before i get the banter back about this - I actually agree with what the little Fella has said - But what is the real reason ???

Celebrity culture - the nations f***ed because of it!!

Nobody wants to work hard for their money - they all want to be on the cover of a magasine and earn enough in their 20s and 30s so they can retire earlier in life.

I agree some of the players probably haven't signed because of Keane, they know he'll expect them to act in a professional manner and give 100% at all times, just look how long Ben Alnwick et al lasted after their frolicks.

Why would Mido choose Boro over Sunderland? maybe he thinks Boro are less likely to be involved in a relegation fight, or maybe he just thinks the training sessions might be easier.

Chopra did nothing at the Newcastle, fair enough he might not have had a decent run in the team, all his success was out on loan, cracking lower league player but maybe out of his depth in the Prem bit like Shola IMO not sure what the managers ever see in him,i'd have kept Chopra and got shot of Shola

cant see him being an instant hero - he was left out for Luque (maybe so Luque could be in the shop window) and Roader did look after him in the academy ,but then didnt try him in the Premiership -

Hands up Guys - i will always admit when i am wrong - and looking at Chopras 2 out of two ,looks that way

maybe £5 Million could turn out to be your bargain buy

and i believe from the txt Msg i am getting from lads at work ,he is a local / instant hero already ????

2 out of 1.5 Bri ;) I don't care if he's from Mars if he keeps doing the bizz.

Dunno if it's cos I'm not a Mackem, but I wouldn't of got rid of Clarky after his T shirt incident, he was only having a laff with his mates, no could say he didn't play for us, he was our player of the season.

Like I said he's a cracking Premiership player :o  lol
Its a long season ...........................................:red:

well i have to say i enjoyed the game last night, it seems sunderland seem to get stonger as the 90 min progesses, whether its fitness or just dog eared determination spured on by keane i dont know, cracking half volley by chopra, unlucky with no get awarded a pen and stern bringing it back even was great, just a shame he hit the crossbar with that header. also gotta say i feel sorry for mcshane, you could see he was trying to get out the way.

a draw was a fair result ,4 points from 6 aint bad ,watched goals on match of the day and that alan hanson what a prat never haves a good word for anyone apart for top 3 competitive clubs man-u , arsnel , chelsea

us newcastle fans who used to watch chopra rated him highly it was just his size that was off putting and wether he really could make it as a premiership pro ,what he needed was a run of games in the premiership to prove it but because of shearer he wasnt ever going to get that at newcastle and rightly so coz he was never going to be as good as shearer imo but now hes got his chance and i wish him well [ apart from 2 games that is lol ]

on last nights game

who would be a referee the last minute equaliser was imo a 50/50 call regarding the goal keeper [ wonder if he was scared to disallow it and face the wrath of keanno lol ] if it had of been agaist flash gordon no doubt you lot would say we were cheated and the same if it had of been wor shay given who was held on the goal line ...my opininion is a goal tho

It was a foul on the keeper in my opinion, Keano had been to see the ref at half time to ask why he hadn't given us a blatant penalty so maybe he decided to even things up a bit.

I played schools football on a regular basis with chops and he hasn't really changed much. He, like Keane put it, is 'a fox in the box' always has been. A natural born goalscorer. If Sunderland as a team play well so will chopra. He hasn't really got much else in his locker other than being a natural finisher. IF a ball drops he'l be on the end of it and 9 times out of ten he will finish. But if it doesn't he will go missing for long periods of a game. Just like last season at the bluebirds, he had a great start and then went missing for the next 15 games then ended on a high. What you lot will get a lot of is Chopra coming deep, collecting the ball and spreading the play. All ok i suppose but do you really want your poacher coming half way up the pitch just to take a touch and lay the ball off? Mark my words, watch him next game and see how many times he makes a straight run out of the 18yrd box only to take one touch, lay off then sprint back into the box. Pointless.

The reason Newcastle let him go?? He's not consistently premiership class. Hit or miss as you will find out, i've follwed his career for the past 9 years.

What is definite however is that you have a much better player than David Nugent.
