hiya had a bit digging today and come across a few clam just wondered has anyone had much success with it fishing ive heard the smellier the better like

Tackle shops sell some type of clam which stinks. They reckon the more it smells the better. Bought a couple from Nets at Hartlepool once and tried them but they do stink and i don,t bother now.

Work when using them in the same manner as razor. Best after a good onshore blow, usually cocktailed with lug. Don't have to be stinky as they work well when taken live from the shell. Also good for flatfish in calm conditions.

used cock clam before to good catch rates, never used horse clam, used a sSean says with lug after a good blow

they will fish on a big tide but also the real smelly ones fish well after a big blow.

i love clam m8 use them nearly every time im out or at least take them lol and had good catches with them also like using the by them selves or using two hooks clam on 1 and what ever on the other good luk anyhow.
