coldingham bay????

http://www.stvedas.co.uk/hotel_location.htm

Has anyone fished this area? the bay near the hotel looks like it will be full of fish!!!!!

Might be worth an overnight stay and a couple of days fishing?

Anyone any advice?

Alright Jim, if you say so. The reason, in my opinion, that you, (Insano?) have picked up the link to St Vedas is via the popularity of the surfing. The beach is totally clean except for a small gulley to the southern end which has a few lugworm casts in and may hold a fish at high water. The rest is totally flat but is affected by a roll from almost any seaward direction, hence the good surfing. As a result an easterly sea makes the beach totally unfishable. There may be some bass in the white water but have never seen or caught any and have never heard of any. South of the beach is Milldown Point where you again chuck onto sand but the water is deeper here so the seas are bigger. Watch out here.

Have a look at the webcam of the beach. It doesn\'t show much but it\'s all the same - big rollers.
