come on then

We had a look out of hartleepool early this morning, the sea was slightly choppy but fishable.
It was the first time out for my kid brother (and the last), he decorated the side of the boat, even after a couple of sealeg tablets.
After a few hours out we only had a few whiteys when the wind picked up a bit and it got a little choppier, so we headed back to the mariner. (to my brothers delight)

Not the best of days, we managed 3 hours fishing and total bag was a few whiteys.

Hope someone else did better

Theres reports of them further off shore,8 miles, also heard of a few off the piers around Wearside falling to hook and sinker

Yeah Ian, we were close by so headed over, his outboard had conked out. Another boat towed him so far in then the lifeboat rib took him to the slip at s.shields.

I know it doesn`t matter where they are based but in this incident the Humber coastguard who were co-ordinating seemed far far away............, not like when it was Tyne Tees Coastguard based at tynemouth virtually looking at the scene in question. I understand they are just co-ordinators and use the local services to help but this was a perfect instance of how they seem so far away now ......

I know Norman, only been shore fishing 3 times since march and boat fishing 3 times since feb :( cant take anymore lol.

Well done by the way.

Dave is...well ill let you think of that one... (a hint) the only thing in life other than the weather that stops a fisherman going fishing lol

Aye Norman, I only heard bits and pieces on the radio, but it sounded like it took them a while to get an idea of where the boat was.
