looking at the wind charts (upto saturday 1am) and the synoptic charts (upto sun 12pm) the wind will be from the east or south east up to saturday then it looks like it would probably back westerly for sunday dont know what it will do to the sea between now and then but hopefully the wind will knock it off for monday.
see sundays chart.

hopefully the high and the low out to the west will keep coming for monday providing us with westerly winds

we like that one aswell mate. Keep them coming. Looking promising for monday looking at that one. Hope to see ya then and are you staying for a beer or two after.

Depending on err indoors (due to drop our third sprog at any time) we might come up on the sun and kip on Daves boat so one way or another we\'ll have a few bevvies :P

For me now only way to get reliable weather forecast is, get up and see what it is doing. I can remember when forecasts where accurate.

Well I\'ve had me fingers, toes (and anything else I\'ve got more than 1 of), crossed for so long that I\'ve got cramp...lol

I\'m gonna ring all the Charter skippers on Sunday morning to see if we get the thumbs up for Monday, or not.
The decision whether it\'s a goer or not due to the weather / sea state is ultimately up to them.

I\'ll post the outcome of the phone calls on Sunday - just as soon as I\'ve spoken to all of them.

Those taking part who aren\'t NESA members, or do not have access to the net, I\'ll ring and let them know if it\'s off - if, as we all hope, that it IS a goer, then I\'ll not ring them.

we might get away with it. There\'s looks like theres a bit of west in the wind on sunday which might hold the sea down and the tides aren\'t too big so early monday might be be ok but then again it might not!

thats a lot of \'mights\'!

stugeron all round for breakfast monday then eh??

currently showing westerly overnight sunday swinging round to the east during monday increasing 15mph in the afternoon. I am currently doing a naked druid dance around the garden (not a pretty sight. but if it helps).

hi norman,

do you still have that pair of socks your arse knitted on the way home after the comp last year????

looking good for getting out atleast.
Wind is forcast backing southeasterly but only 10kts now (was forecast 15+). westerly overnight should keep the sea down.

according to the met office, 21 degrees and 5mph westerley tomorrow - they\'ve changed their tune!

being ever the optimist, its the forecast I\'m gonna believe!

I\'ve spoken to both Tony Avis (Mistress) and Alan Lopez (Spellbinder) thismorning;

Tony said: conditions are perfect today, but they weren\'t yesterday - you just never know. He\'ll be expecting to be going out.

Alan said: It\'s perfect today - flat calm - if anything, the winds should be in the W tomorrow - Shouldn\'t pose any problems.

Consider the comp as a GOER, and we\'ll assess the situation on the day................looking good though
