(My mate wrote the report)
After looking forward to the trip for ages it was sad Gordy couldn't join us with back failure
.
Bad luck mate but there will be others..
So after a 4hr trip for both of us I met up with Eddie and his boy Jackson at the booked tent site
A quick chat and tent erection,after a call to Gordy :lol!: we got sorted and grabbed the gear for a session on Penmaenmawr beach.Fished the first beach shelter near the boat club.
Tried all baits,peeler,makky,lug and rag and we all blanked hmmm :scratch:
Next morning we met up with Phil to fish Llanddulas at low water for bass and smuts and after being shown the best spot and paying for the tackle we said our farewells and got on with it
Set up on the ebb and after me and Eddie missing out ratchet runs young Jackson had a pulldown slackliner which resulted in a 40cm bass,his first ever and the smile said it all,nothing after that so after a kebab we got set up on Pensarn beach for the flood
20 or so anglers spread along so looked promising
nothing until high water when the beach emptied of anglers,but on the ebb in the gutter we had smutt pups and 1 doggy between us,commons and starrys.the young fella was bouncing by now and he proved to be top angler :cheers: we walked out through the gutters and it went quiet so we headed off for our 4hrs kip :lol!:
Final day and the plan went array,so we collected live peelers and after a trip to the café for a feed we decided on Pensarn again
a few anglers were out and again 3hrs down we hit 1 smut and 1 dog both for you know who at the same time
After a few more hours again it died so off to bed we went,after 72hrs with 12hrs sleep in total and fishing hard we didn't get the fish we wanted but a few for the species and watching the young fella catch 4 first ever it was well worth it :cheers:
Next morning it was pack and tent down,said our farewells and home we headed
Thanks Eddie and Jackson for all your help esp at night :shock: I had a really good time and the craic was first class
