Could have been killed at Low Newton

fished the round end for years myself doesn't matter how you look at it its still dangerous had a lad once years ago snap off at wheel and ended up at round end ........... also thy is many marks where people are opposite of you but at casting range ...... end day assumptions assumptions assumptions

you are moving the topic away from discussing something being done which deliberately puts someone in danger of injury to discussing people fishing in situations where there is an element of risk such as on piers etc, Of course these risks can be greatly reduced if people are sensible in what they do, casting deliberately towards somebody will never be sensible.

agree but how do you know that the kayak didn't drift into the angler? your just taking sides .......

Hi Keith has already been on stating the lad wasn't casting at the guy in the yak merely just casting sea ward.

I am not taking sides, i couldn't care less if the kayak accidentally drifted or headed towards the anglers spot at a rate of knots you simply do not cast at somebody.

I get the impression you think it acceptable to cast at somebody if you are in the right?

Even if somebody has cut your line, nicked your spot, ****ed you off, got in your way etc etc etc it will never be right to cast towards them. There is simply too much risk of injuring or killing somebody and such behaviour can never be justified.

What a load of poo this thread is lol, lad come on accusing a lad of trying to kill him when the other side says he was merely casting out and the lad on the yak started the verbal abuse, fact of the matter is if anyone is fishing safety is always paramount. The lad from the shore is restricted to were he can fish and the kayak isn't. Personally if I saw lads heading to the shore I would move out of casting range to prevent injury to myself. I am pretty sure the lads on question would of appreciated if you moved out of range. But you never you stayed in close around 80 yards yet wonder why leads are landing close to you!!.

AS SAID,i know the angler in person.nice LAD,dont think Would off cast in his direction on puppose. so can we please forget about my comments. THANKYOU.

You call him a tit in a earlier post and say he should be named and shamed ect .. then you say hes a nice lad and can we forget about my comment ? Are you for real mate ?

Were you there? Because you are doing exactly the same in taking sides, And as he said he was going past not drifting....Obviously if people make a topic saying someone cast at them then people are going to say its stupidity and dangerous..If the lad never done it then why doesn't he join and tell his side of the story? And classing it the same as casting on a pier is just laughable...I fish the pier a lot and most say when they are about to cast and they are casting out to sea...Its a tad different to casting in someone's direction

common sense

that is wat is needed, unfortunaly seems it it slowly goin out of fashion seems to me both were at fault
the kayak for going too close where shore anglers were as there was an open on and the caster for casting as kayak was passing

But the lads fishing there are saying he was staying in the area not going past.

You can't state facts if you were not there simple as that and i'm damn sure if I was accused of this the first thing I would do is join and defend myself if I had never done what was said

Outkast i I was there and I have told yous our side of what went on so why keep going on about it !! both sides have put there sides up end of

I wasn't asking if you were there I replied to someone making posts about taking sides when they do exactly the same and just because you make a post that makes no sense like "he didnt intentionally cast at him...yet he could have hit him if he wanted" we cant ask questions? ok I will say no more im off out fishing
