Couple of hours on the business park with the Bairn

Picked the Bairn up from school at 3:30 and took her straight down the business park on scotswood road. Took a packet of blacks and a bit mackerel out the freezer. I only planned in a couple of hours with her still being 3 years old. Anyways here's how it panned out

Was hoping for a few flounders but they didn't show up. But her very 1st codling on size 1 hooks.

Few more bites but no more fish unfortunately

Pleased as punch as am I for her. Only took a spinning rod and small fixed spool with braid and it handled very well. Wish I had a bit more time to fish over high water and might of had a few more fish.

No idea mate. I couldn't be anything but happy for her. Wait until she turns competitive in a couple of years though.

Going back about 10-15 years it didn't matter when you fished it. It was constant flounder fishing. Nearly all the flounders we used to catch down there were between 1lb-2lb and plenty of huge ones mixed in. Some over 3lb but never had much luck since. Wasn't it great when you were a kid.

Spot on its great when u take the kids fishing and learning them stuff for the first time and seeing ther faces when they catch a fish 4 the first time its unforgetable but Isee it every week in our crastick comps ha ha the little ns a fast learner david well done m8
